先日、NY市の小学校２年生のクラスにて、生徒のみなさんから心温まるメッセージをいただく機会がありました。クラスのはじめには、被災地の状況について説明し、話し合う時間をいただきましたが、みな大変熱心に参加してくれ、説明をはじめるやいなや、子供たちの質問や意見がたえませんでした。
We had a great opportunity to gather heartwarming messages from the students of second year class in one of the elementary schools in NYC.
クラスのはじめには、被災地の状況について説明し、話し合う時間をいただきましたが、みな大変熱心に参加してくれ、説明をはじめるやいなや、子供たちの質問や意見がたえませんでした。
At the beginning of the class, we had a small session for learning and thinking about Japan regarding the earthquake. The kids were very energetic with full of questions and opinions.
この話し合いのあと、生徒のみなさんはそれぞれ時間をかけて考えて、温かい言葉たちと、力強くかわいらしい絵を布に託してくれました。子供たちのパワーに私たちも元気づけられました。このような機会をいただいたことに感謝しています。
After the discussion, the students took time to think and gave us warm messages and powerful drawings. It was very encouraging to feel the power of the kids, and many thank you for the great opportunity!
